Pengaruh Game Online Terhadap Motivasi Belajar Siswa Sma/Smk (Studi Pada Siswa Sma/Smk Di Kecamatan Bukit Kemuning Kabupaten Lampung Utara)

One of the uses of technology besides seeking knowledge is also useful for seeking entertainment, for example by playing online games which is the current development of information and communication technology, which is the research background. The purpose of this study was to find out whether the level of student motivation is influenced by the intensity of playing online games and how differences in the influence of female and male gender online game players have on the learning motivation level of SMA/SMK students in Bukit Kemuning District, North Lampung Regency. Data analysis by describing the research results from the collected data, using a descriptive quantitative research type. The research was conducted by distributing questionnaires involving a sample of 527 students from a population of 2107, 25% of which were taken from the research population using the Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling technique. The results showed for the entire sample that 84% of respondents had a high level of motivation or as many as 445 respondents from 527 samples. Furthermore, regarding the intensity of playing online games, it is stated that most research respondents were in the category of light online game players with a percentage of 59% or as many as 311 respondents from 527 samples. Then, the level of motivation for female and male respondents shows the results of data analysis, namely that both genders have high levels of motivation. However, based on the results of the Independent T test with a sig (2-tailed) value of 0.007 < 0.05, it shows that there is a significant difference in effect between the two genders.
